01In my own words
Why I do this the way I do it.
Buying a home, refinancing or building is one of the largest financial decisions most people make, and the part that goes wrong is almost never the math. It is the waiting: a question that sits unanswered for two days, a document request that arrives the night before closing, a lender who was easy to reach until the loan was signed. I built my practice around the opposite of that.
I am a broker, not a bank. When you call me, I do not have one rate sheet to sell you. I take your situation to multiple wholesale lenders through my sponsoring broker, Barrett Financial Group, compare what each one will actually do for you, and tell you plainly which fits and why. When the answer is “wait six months and fix this first,” I say that too.
I live and work in Milford. Most of my loans are in New Haven and Fairfield counties, with first-time buyers using CHFA and FHA, families refinancing or pulling equity, and investors buying two- to four-unit properties. I am also licensed in Florida, Hawaii and Massachusetts for clients who are buying there.
